Keelon Russell, a highly touted quarterback and recent Alabama signee, has secured his first major Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal. Shortly after enrolling early at the University of Alabama, Russell entered into a multi-year partnership with Panini America, a leading sports collectibles company.
Alabama quarterback signee Keelon Russell officially secured his first major NIL deal.
As part of this agreement, Russell will be featured in Panini’s line of college trading card products and participate in various marketing activities. Expressing his enthusiasm, Russell stated, “Being able to partner with a leader in the sports collectibles space like Panini is exciting… I can’t wait to start working with them and seeing my first trading cards.”
Russell’s commitment to Alabama remained steadfast despite significant NIL offers from other programs. He emphasized the importance of long-term value over immediate financial gain, stating, “I wasn’t really never about the money person. I felt like that was short-term value instead of long-term value.”
Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 181 pounds, Russell had an impressive high school career at Duncanville High School in Texas. In his senior year, he completed 70% of his passes for 4,177 yards and 55 touchdowns, leading his team to a 13-1 record.
His decision to partner with Panini America marks a significant milestone as he embarks on his collegiate career with the Crimson T ide.
