The Azam FC star has been in exceptional form over the past few seasons in the Tanzanian Premier League. In the last campaign, he scored 19 goals, which is impressive for a midfielder.

So far this season, Salum has already netted four goals and provided nine assists, making him one of the most sought-after players in Tanzania. He previously worked under Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi at Young Africans, which could facilitate his move to South Africa.

He remains under contract with Azam FC and respects the club, which we appreciate.”

 

Salum’s current contract runs until 2026, meaning that Kaizer Chiefs might have to pay a significant fee to acquire the talented midfielder. However, some reports suggest that he could become a free agent in June. Azam’s spokesperson, Hashim Ibwe, has stated that Salum has not yet signed a new deal with the club.

“We can confirm that there have been no discussions between Kaizer Chiefs or any club and Azam FC regarding Feisal Salum,” Ibwe told FARPost.

“He remains under contract with Azam FC and respects the club, which we appreciate.”

 

With Tanzanian giants Simba looking to beat Kaizer Chiefs to Salum’s signature, it remains to be seen if Amakhosi could pay big money to bring the star to South Africa.
